About the role
NexPro Energy is an independent exploration and production company with a growing upstream portfolio. We are currently focused on an offshore marginal field in Nigeria that is preparing for first oil. We are building our subsurface capability to manage the field through its development and producing life. This role reports directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Own reservoir engineering requirements for well data acquisition, including formation pressure points, fluid sampling, and well test design.
- Lead the interpretation of well data and build/maintain the reservoir performance model through the Extended Well Test.
- Own the field’s volumetric and resource basis, maturing contingent resources to reserves as commerciality is established.
- Take ownership of the production forecast and ensure the field’s economics and breakeven model remain aligned.
- Lead reservoir engineering input into the post-first-oil Field Development Plan and manage reservoir surveillance through the field’s life.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in reservoir engineering, including well test or EWT interpretation, or a first-oil start-up.
- Experience with resource and reserves classification under SPE-PRMS, including commerciality tests.
- Experience with production forecasting tied into an economics model.
