About the role
Egbin Power Plc is seeking a Lead, Project Controls and QA/QC Engineer to help drive successful project delivery. This role involves establishing strong project control frameworks, aligning resources with governance standards, and providing quality assurance support across various engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project control team, including cost engineers, planners, and quality assurance staff.
- Monitor program compliance with contractual obligations and advise on earned value management policies.
- Support the development of integrated master schedules using Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
- Provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development, performance reporting, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws (NDPR) and implement data protection impact assessments.
- Conduct site surveillance and reviews to maintain quality standards and ensure corrective actions are taken for non-conformances.
- Integrate ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 requirements into departmental processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of cognate work experience in a similar role.
- Postgraduate certification in Project Management is mandatory.
- Certified Project Management Associate (PMP is an alternative) and Earned Value Foundation (APMG).
- Experience with NEC 3 projects is an added advantage.
