About the role
Greywood Hotels & Apartments is looking for a detail-oriented Laundry Personnel to join our team in Ojodu-Berger, Lagos. This full-time position focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness for guest laundry, linens, and uniforms. The hotel provides a secure and comfortable environment for guests, and your work will directly support that experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens, towels, and guest laundry items.
- Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage before and after washing.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and adhere to hotel safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Fold, stack, and store clean laundry neatly in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and linens.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide excellent service for any guest laundry requests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
