About the role
Elvaridah Limited is seeking a dependable Kitchen Assistant to support day-to-day operations in a home studio kitchen. The employer is a professional chef who runs a private catering business and creates food content for social media. This is a full-time position working four days a week with flexible days.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, including washing utensils, equipment, and surfaces.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Set up and organize the workstation before cooking and catering orders.
- Assist during content shoots by prepping ingredients, plating, and arranging the kitchen.
- Support the cooking process as directed by the chef, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
- Help package and prepare food orders for delivery or pickup.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the chef when supplies are running low.
- Receive, check, and store groceries and supplies properly.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a kitchen, catering, or food service environment.
- Physical stamina to stand and work for long hours (8:00am to 7:00pm).
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen tools, and food hygiene.
- Based in or able to commute reliably to Abraham Adesanya, Lagos.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under the chef’s direction.
- Honest, punctual, neat, and respectful.
