About the role
Eclat Human Resource Consulting Limited is a management firm based in Abuja, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. This role supports the Chef in ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations and high standards of food safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef with cooking, food preparation, and meal presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and dining spaces.
- Store ingredients appropriately to ensure freshness and prevent contamination.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, appliances, and workstations before and after use.
- Wash and store cooking utensils, pots, pans, and cutlery properly.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the Chef of low stock or expired items.
- Report damaged equipment or safety hazards to the Chef.
- Follow established kitchen procedures and food safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of proper kitchen cleaning, food handling, and storage practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Professionalism and discretion, particularly within a law firm environment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen equipment is an added advantage.
