About the role
WTS Energy is looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Lekki, Lagos. This position is ideal for an early-career professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in electrical power systems and design. You will support engineering activities related to power distribution, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and protection principles.
Responsibilities
- Support electrical engineering work involving power systems, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and protection principles.
- Prepare, review, and interpret electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Assist with design and documentation activities, applying relevant electrical design tools.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure technical work is accurate and meets project requirements.
- Participate in power projects, site support, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Handle procurement and technical documentation tasks.
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Required: 1–3 years of relevant experience, or recent graduate with industrial training, internship, or SIWES experience.
- Required: Basic understanding of electrical power systems, drawings, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and protection principles.
- Required: Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: Exposure to ETAP, Revit, or other electrical design tools.
