About the role
Elizabeth Maddeux Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team in Enugu. This full-time position focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain proper accounting records.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts while keeping documentation accurate.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
- Assist in payroll preparation and statutory deductions where required.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Tally.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory remittances is an added advantage.
