About the role
Sany Nigeria, a subsidiary of the global heavy-duty equipment manufacturer SANY Group, is seeking an IT Operations Officer to join its team in Lagos. This full-time position focuses on maintaining the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring high internet uptime, and supporting office systems. You will bridge technical support with operational oversight, working closely with vendors and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network infrastructure to guarantee high availability and manage relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to resolve outages and track SLAs.
- Oversee the daily operation of CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR units, and monitoring feeds, including routine audits for recording integrity.
- Maintain conference room technology such as projectors, display panels, and video conferencing equipment, performing daily pre-meeting checks.
- Manage network printers, scanners, and office peripherals, resolving connectivity issues and maintaining vendor relationships for supplies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to configure and deploy hardware, user accounts, and software access for new employees before their start dates.
- Track IT asset inventory and manage device allocation throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT Operations, Help Desk Support, or Technical Systems Administration.
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS configuration and hardware setup.
- Basic networking knowledge, including LAN/WAN, IP configuration, and Wi-Fi management.
- Experience with CCTV and NVR setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with audiovisual and conference room systems, including HDMI, wireless casting, and Zoom/Teams devices.
- Skills in user directory management using Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Active Directory.
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and communication skills.
