About the role
Benin Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC) is a licensed retail electricity distribution company serving Delta, Edo, Ekiti, and Ondo States. We are currently hiring four IT Auditors to help strengthen our information security and operational efficiency. This role is critical for conducting independent audits of our information systems, applications, and technology processes.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute IT audits in line with approved plans and professional standards.
- Assess the effectiveness of IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity measures.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to maintain a strong control environment.
- Review system development, change management, data management, and disaster recovery processes.
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations for management.
- Evaluate compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support investigations into IT incidents.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and identify technology-related risks.
Requirements
- HND, B.Sc, or B.Eng in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in IT Audit, Information Security, or Risk Management.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, databases, network security, and cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills.
- Understanding of power distribution operations and energy flow.
- Proficiency in audit tools, Microsoft Office, and data analytics.
