About the role
Firewood Rice Nigeria is a growing food brand in Lagos dedicated to serving authentic Nigerian dishes. We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Officer to join our team in Lekki. This full-time position is central to our operations, ensuring we have the right materials to keep serving our customers with quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
- Ensure accurate inventory records through timely data entry and regular stock-taking.
- Implement inventory control systems to avoid overstocking and stock-outs.
- Record stock received and issued to production accurately.
- Track and manage product transfers between locations or departments.
- Maintain proper documentation for all stock movements, both incoming and outgoing.
- Conduct regular and random audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory data.
- Work closely with the production team to forecast material needs based on production schedules.
- Ensure that inventory is stored in a neat, organized, and accessible manner.
- Implement proper storage conditions to prevent spoilage or damage, particularly for perishable items.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Monitor and report expired, damaged, or obsolete inventory and coordinate proper disposal methods.
