About the role
Join Skipper Eye-Q Hospitals, an international eye hospital chain with over 19 years of experience in eye care. We are looking for an Inventory Control Officer to manage our stock levels, track item movement, and ensure that physical inventory aligns with our system records. This is a full-time position based in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track inbound and outbound inventory to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
- Investigate discrepancies, missing stock, or damaged goods and escalate unresolved issues.
- Implement stock rotation methods like FIFO and maintain organized warehouse categorization.
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity, verifying delivery notes against purchase orders.
- Generate inventory reports on usage patterns, stock levels, and valuation.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts to reconcile differences.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance, and sales teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or retail/FMCG operations.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel or spreadsheet tools for data tracking.
- Proficiency in ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
