About the role
Isaacworthub LLC is seeking a meticulous and strategic Internal Control Manager to oversee, evaluate, and enhance its internal control framework. This role is critical for safeguarding organizational integrity within the energy sector, which involves unique regulatory, financial, and operational complexities. Proven experience within the Oil & Gas industry is strictly mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Mitigate Industry-Specific Risks: Identify vulnerabilities in joint venture accounting, procurement, supply chain logistics, inventory management, and capital expenditure (CAPEX).
- Strengthen the Control Environment: Design, implement, and continuously evaluate a robust internal control framework across corporate, financial, and field operations.
- Partner with Leadership: Provide clear, data-driven insights and risk management recommendations to executive management and the Audit Committee.
- Lead Audits & Reviews: Plan and execute comprehensive internal control reviews, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure prompt remediation of identified gaps.
- Drive Compliance: Ensure adherence to statutory laws, production sharing contracts (PSCs/JVs), IFRS, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA.
- 5–8 years of experience in internal control, risk management, or internal audit, strictly within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Deep understanding of COSO frameworks, SOX compliance, and financial reporting processes specific to the energy industry.
- Strong analytical skills to dissect complex data and spot red flags early.
- Effective communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
