About the role
Max Drive is a technology-enabled company dedicated to solving mobility challenges in Africa. We are looking for an Internal Control & Compliance Manager to join our team in Ibadan. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and implementing controls across systems, policies, and processes to ensure risk management and loss containment align with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Review and authenticate monthly bank reconciliation statements prepared by the finance unit.
- Formulate policies and procedures to enhance internal controls, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Provide timely reporting on the internal control framework and any deficiencies to senior leadership and the audit committee.
- Review cash advances, floats, and internal account reconciliations.
- Lead internal control reviews across the team and monitor action plans to resolve deficiencies.
- Review documentation for PAMS and LAMs, as well as reconcile inventory stock at all locations.
- Build and motivate a high-performing team, coaching members to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements
- A minimum of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts or Finance.
- Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience in Audit and Control.
- Experience in driving risk management functions and developing controls to prevent leakages.
- Strong knowledge of Risk and Compliance.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- An assertive, methodical, and analytical approach with strong listening skills.
