About the role
E-Terra Technologies Limited is a leading Nigerian company specializing in electronic waste management and secure data destruction. Established in 2013, the company is based in Surulere, Lagos. We are looking for a professional Internal Auditor to provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services. This role is crucial for safeguarding company assets, promoting financial integrity, and ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies. Given the company’s focus on e-waste and recycling, the auditor will also assess controls over inventory, material recovery, and environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a risk-based annual internal audit plan.
- Review internal controls, financial records, and operational procedures to identify weaknesses and inefficiencies.
- Conduct audits on procurement, vendor management, and inventory to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.
- Assess revenue assurance processes, including sales records, invoicing, and collections.
- Monitor regulatory and environmental compliance, including e-waste handling and safety standards.
- Investigate suspected fraud, misconduct, or financial irregularities and report findings to management.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based audit reports and track the implementation of corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, external auditing, risk management, or compliance.
- Experience in manufacturing, recycling, waste management, or logistics is an added advantage.
- Membership or qualification with a recognized professional body (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, IIA) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software.
- Strong analytical skills, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
