About the role
Sevic Recruit is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Decorator to join their team in Gwarinpa, Abuja. This full-time or contract position focuses on the hospitality sector, specifically hotels, resorts, shopping malls, and luxury lounges. You will be responsible for transforming spatial concepts into welcoming and functional environments that align with brand identity and enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and oversee the procurement of decor elements.
- Supervise on-site decoration, installation, and final staging to ensure quality and safety.
- Plan and execute seasonal or promotional decor updates for public areas.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, and design themes for various property spaces.
- Conduct periodic audits to identify and recommend refurbishments for worn items.
- Collaborate with architects and operations teams to optimize room layouts and traffic flow.
- Source and arrange furniture, lighting, artwork, and decorative accessories.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in interior decoration or visual styling within hospitality, retail, or luxury commercial sectors.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Decorative Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A strong visual portfolio demonstrating work in hotels, shopping centers, or large-scale commercial spaces.
- Strong spatial awareness, communication skills, and the ability to work under tight timelines.
- Established relationships with local and international vendors are a plus.
