About the role
WTS Energy is hiring an Instrument Technician (Well Head) to support a global energy infrastructure and technology company. This position is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. You will work closely with the client team to maintain and operate wellhead instrumentation systems safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, update, and calibrate all instrument systems on the Wellhead.
- Assist the Process Supervisor and MSUP with instrument and electrical maintenance on the FPSO when delegated.
- Ensure platforms operate in a safe condition and report any irregularities immediately.
- Manage the AMOS computer system for reporting works and inventory.
- Coordinate with the client representative regarding spare parts and purchasing.
- Execute maintenance tasks according to issued work permits and safety regulations.
- Assist with the shutdown and start-up of platform equipment and utilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of field or production experience.
- Experience with pneumatic field instrumentation.
- Good knowledge of Process and Field Logic control systems.
- Valid AMOS Certificate.
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Previous experience as an Electro Technical Officer on tanker ships or as an Automation Engineer is preferred.
