About the role
Ascentech Services Limited is looking for an experienced Indian Chef to join their team in Ilorin, Kwara. This is a full-time position focused on preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene. The company has been providing HR solutions in Nigeria since 2013 and is expanding its services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Indian dishes such as biryani, curries, dal, naan, roti, and tandoori items.
- Create marinades, sauces, and spice blends using proper Indian cooking techniques.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Assist with menu planning and timely meal preparation.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety standards.
- Monitor ingredient stock and report supply needs to minimize waste.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and recipes.
- Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and stock management.
- Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
- Willingness to work full-time in Ilorin.
