About the role
ServiceNow is looking for a senior technical expert to join the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) in Hyderabad. You will serve as a key authority for handling post-release vulnerabilities in ServiceNow products. This position demands independent operation and calm leadership during critical security events, helping to shape how the company responds to security threats at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical and organizational efforts during significant security incidents, coordinating with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
- Drive coordinated responses across affected releases to reduce exposure windows and verify fix completeness.
- Manage the CVE disclosure process, including scoring, advisory content, and publication timing.
- Author root cause analyses and drive lessons learned to closure after security incidents.
- Contribute to secure development practices by feeding incident learnings upstream into the SDLC.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- At least 4 years of experience auditing source code for security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to read and comprehend Java and JavaScript code, with a strong understanding of common vulnerabilities in these languages.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for data gathering, processing, and visualization.
- Experience developing proof-of-concept exploits for web application vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership during major security events and willingness to participate in on-call duties.
- Experience leading fix implementation and release coordination across multiple teams.
