About the role
Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Azure Integrations team in Bengaluru. You will work on integrations with Microsoft’s Azure AD Identity Platform, including Entra ID and MSGraph. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days in the office per week.
Responsibilities
- Understand and contribute to the Azure Integrations codebase, including Jira, technical designs, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to clarify and shape requirements.
- Provide support and resolve incoming bugs and customer-reported issues.
- Work with various stakeholders to scope and plan engineering efforts for successful feature launches.
- Design and implement high-performance, distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software components.
- Participate actively in pull request reviews and mentor junior team members.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams, including QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Documentation, TPM, and UX.
- Own features or systems and define their long-term health, observability, and reliability metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
- Experience working with systems of scale, ranging from monolithic applications to microservices.
- Proficiency in server-side technologies including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Redis.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and people of various backgrounds.
- B.S., MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft’s Graph APIs and modern front-end development such as ReactJS.
