About the role
Twilio is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Know Your Customer (KYC) engineering team. You will own the Trust Hub platform, which serves both external customers and internal engineering teams. This remote-first role is based in India and requires you to champion AI-driven development practices while balancing product commitments and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery roadmap for the Compliance Domain, including customer-facing services and internal APIs.
- Drive the adoption of AI coding assistants and measure their impact on team velocity.
- Ensure operational excellence, including system reliability, incident response, and security.
- Partner with Product Management and internal teams to serve both external and internal customers effectively.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of psychological safety.
- Communicate team strategy, progress, and risks clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in engineering management.
- Experience leading a team of 10+ engineers and directly managing individual contributors.
- Strong background in designing highly available, cloud-native distributed systems.
- Deep familiarity with AWS ecosystems, microservices patterns, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Demonstrated experience driving AI tool adoption within an engineering team.
- Proven track record of shipping complex software products with high quality.
