About the role
Roblox is looking for a Communications Manager to oversee consumer and corporate communications in India. As part of the Global Communications team, you will build and lead strategic programs tailored to the Indian market. This position reports to the Head of Communications, APAC, based in Singapore.
The role is based in Gurugram, though candidates from other parts of India may be considered. The work schedule is onsite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with optional presence on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute compelling communications campaigns in partnership with local agencies to support business goals.
- Lead media outreach for global announcements, product launches, and executive profiling.
- Develop strategies for reactive and proactive communications, including handling high-profile issues with good judgment.
- Manage the India press office, including crisis management and social media editorial needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Public Policy, and Developer Relations to support their communications objectives.
- Create messaging and brief senior executives for interviews and public appearances.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in communications, preferably in consumer technology, entertainment, media, or gaming.
- Fluent English and Hindi skills; knowledge of other Indian languages is a plus.
- Proven track record of developing strategic communications plans that deliver impactful media coverage.
- Experience managing multiple communication agencies in an in-house role.
- Strong ability to handle crisis situations and craft clear directives under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
