About the role
GitLab is looking for an Associate Renewals Manager to join its India-based remote team. This individual contributor role focuses on executing renewal processes accurately and on time. You will work under the guidance of senior managers, following established playbooks to retain customers and grow revenue. The position emphasizes a growth mindset, allowing you to build skills for handling more complex accounts over time.
Responsibilities
- Manage renewals: Track key dates for your assigned portfolio and drive them to on-time closure.
- Engage customers: Hold consultative conversations to understand product usage and future needs.
- Identify growth: Spot opportunities for additional seats, tiers, or modules during discussions.
- Prepare documentation: Create and send accurate renewal quotes, order forms, and related paperwork.
- Analyze situations: Review usage trends and contract terms, escalating unusual cases to senior team members.
- Collaborate: Work with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to resolve blockers and identify expansion potential.
- Maintain records: Keep CRM and renewal systems up to date for forecasting and reporting.
Requirements
- Experience: Ability to execute basic renewal processes independently and familiarity with advanced scenarios like multi-year deals.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and clear written and verbal communication.
- Mindset: Growth-oriented, proactive, and open to feedback and coaching.
- Location: Full working rights in India and based in India.
- Timezone: Ability to work in ANZ and Asia timezones.
