About the role
Mandilas Group Limited is a conglomerate with branches across the country, specializing in engineering, air conditioning, plumbing, and automobile services. We are looking for a dedicated HVAC Engineer to join our team in Lagos. This position focuses on delivering high-quality technical support, installation, and maintenance for HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal system performance, customer satisfaction, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and service various HVAC systems, including split and packaged air conditioning units, chillers, cold rooms, and VRF/VRV systems.
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure proper refrigerant handling, leak detection, and compliance with environmental standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals for accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Prepare detailed service reports, fault logs, and documentation after each assignment.
- Support spare parts identification, requisition, and inventory control.
- Liaise with OEMs and technical partners for advanced troubleshooting when required.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, including training on system operations.
- Conduct performance testing, system balancing, and efficiency optimization of installed systems.
- Execute routine service schedules and ensure timely completion of maintenance contracts (AMCs/SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, including the safe handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
Requirements
- Strong professional and academic credentials in HVAC or a related engineering field.
- Cognate years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Core expertise in chillers, VRF/VRV systems, and industrial/commercial refrigeration units.
- Ability to deliver value to stakeholders through technical support and maintenance services.
