About the role
Beta Glass, part of the Frigoglass Group, is a key supplier of glass packaging to beverage bottlers in West and Central Africa. We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our Agbara plant. This role involves designing and implementing HR programmes while ensuring compliance with corporate policies on compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent management for plant staff.
- Manage employee relations, union engagements, and compliance with labour laws.
- Oversee compensation, benefits administration, payroll support, and remuneration benchmarking.
- Coordinate training, development, safety, environmental, and welfare programs.
- Manage plant administration, including security, transport, residences, and corporate affairs.
- Prepare workforce reports, labour budgets, and provide HR insights to management.
- Develop, supervise, and motivate team members while safeguarding company interests.
- Prepare and manage the plant’s annual labour and capital expenditure budgets.
- Oversee immigration processes and travel arrangements in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in HR management.
- Factory or manufacturing industry experience.
- Professional certification such as CIPMN or an equivalent HR qualification.
- Good knowledge of human relations management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision or other ERP software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, creativity, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
