About the role
HCER Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations in Benin, Edo. You will lead a team to maintain high service standards, manage hotel facilities, and ensure a positive guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and administrative skills to achieve business objectives efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate staff across reception, housekeeping, restaurant, and maintenance departments.
- Ensure rooms, facilities, and common areas meet cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Provide excellent customer service and promptly resolve guest complaints.
- Monitor operational expenses, budgets, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to monitor revenue, expenses, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal policies.
- Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Manage staff schedules, performance, discipline, and productivity.
Requirements
- A Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in hotel management, hospitality operations, or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of hotel operations, room reservations, housekeeping, and front-office management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hotel management software.
- Basic knowledge of budgeting, revenue monitoring, and cost control.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work under pressure.
