About the role
Arrupe Jesuit College (AJC) is a non-profit, co-educational boarding Catholic and Jesuit secondary school. We are looking for a History Teacher to serve as a role model for our students. You will plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in accordance with the Nigerian National Policy on Education and AJC regulations. The position is based in Abbi, Delta, and is full-time.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver History lessons effectively and efficiently.
- Cover all items in the school’s scheme of work.
- Teach students practical life skills related to History.
- Act as a positive role model for students.
Requirements
- A B.Sc. in History or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Any higher degree or qualification in History is an advantage.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Good command of the English language.
- Understanding of adolescent psychology and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word and PowerPoint).
