About the role
Engineering Automation Technology Limited (EATL) is an indigenous technological engineering company established in 2007. We are currently looking for a skilled Heavy-Duty Electrician to join our team in Akwa Ibom. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the reliability and safety of our electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other trades to support operations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions.
Requirements
- OND Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a heavy-duty electrician in industrial or construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, transformers, and control panels.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to work in demanding environments, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
