About the role
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries is a leading Nigerian pharmaceutical company with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing premium and affordable medical treatments. We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment Lead to drive strategic leadership in our HSE and Sustainability frameworks. This full-time, onsite role is based in Sagamu, Ogun.
Responsibilities
- Supervise safe work procedures, Permit-to-Work systems, emergency preparedness, and risk management.
- Lead HSE training, drills, and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Manage waste, environmental monitoring, and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) activities.
- Prepare and submit HSE/ESG reports, dashboards, and compliance statistics to management.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, consultants, and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Oversee incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
- Conduct regular inspections of factories, warehouses, and workplaces to identify and control hazards.
Requirements
- ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification.
- B.Sc. Degree in a Science-related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
- HSE Level 3 Supervisory Certification and NEBOSH certification.
- IOSH Managing Safely/Managing Safety certification.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and ISO 14001/45001 standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
