About the role
Ratio Consulting Limited is seeking a Head of Secondary School to provide academic leadership and oversight. You will ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement while fostering a safe and disciplined environment. This full-time position is based in Lokogoma, Abuja (FCT).
Responsibilities
- Supervise teachers and Heads of Department, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
- Monitor student academic progress through assessments and recommend interventions.
- Coordinate preparation for WAEC, NECO, JAMB UTME, and IGCSE examinations.
- Promote student discipline, welfare, and compliance with safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Identify staff training needs and recommend professional development initiatives.
- Conduct regular classroom observations to assess teaching effectiveness.
- Prepare periodic academic performance reports for school management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
- Minimum of five years’ teaching experience, including at least two years in an academic leadership role.
- Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and data analysis tools.
- Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, JAMB UTME, or IGCSE examinations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and team management skills.
