About the role
Bridgemead Limited is recruiting a Head of Research & Strategy to provide strategic leadership for a financial services company. Based in Victoria Island, Lagos, this full-time position reports directly to the Group Managing Director. You will translate macroeconomic trends and market data into actionable insights that drive investment decisions and long-term value creation across the Group and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and publication of weekly market reports, economic outlooks, and flagship research publications.
- Lead research into financial markets, macroeconomic developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Prepare equity research reports, valuation models, and investment recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Support corporate strategy initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, feasibility studies, and market expansion assessments.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor business performance and track strategic initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop research analysts while representing the Group at industry forums and investor meetings.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7–10 years’ relevant experience in research, investment analysis, corporate strategy, or financial services.
- Demonstrable experience preparing buy-side or sell-side equity research reports and investment recommendations.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and economic research.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
