About the role
Prime Atlantic Limited is a Nigerian-owned oil servicing company established in 2003. We are looking for a Head of Mechanical to lead technical maintenance operations for rotating, static, lifting, and marine equipment. This role is based in Lagos and requires strong expertise in mechanical engineering and the petrochemical industry.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical content of maintenance methods, plans, and procedures for mechanical equipment.
- Review and implement maintenance plans prepared by contractors.
- Manage spare parts availability and stock parameters to optimize reliability and cost.
- Act as the Technical Administrator for Mechanical Spare Parts.
- Ensure accurate data capture and analysis in SAP (UNISUP) to propose optimization plans.
- Provide technical expertise to address equipment failures and performance losses.
- Coordinate the mobilization and logistics of external resources, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure all operations comply with company rules and HSE standards.
- Contribute to budget preparation, cost control, and the training of national staff.
Requirements
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of turbo machineries.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, including 5 years in the Petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory operational position.
