About the role
Excel and Grace Consulting is a certified management consultancy with over 18 years of experience supporting small and medium-scale enterprises across Nigeria, Ghana, Germany, Switzerland, and Canada. We are looking for a hands-on finance leader to join our team in Abuja.
This full-time position reports to the Managing Director/CEO. You will combine strong financial discipline with commercial thinking to improve performance, maintain liquidity, and support business expansion. The role involves building systems in a growing business and working closely with stakeholders on capital-raising plans.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial planning, treasury, budgeting, and management reporting.
- Support debt and equity funding discussions, including term-sheet reviews and negotiations.
- Coordinate statutory filings, taxation, and audit processes.
- Prepare investor presentations, financial models, and due diligence documents.
- Monitor liquidity, working capital, and funding requirements.
- Lead budgeting, cash-flow planning, and financial performance analysis.
- Strengthen financial controls, expenditure management, and audit readiness.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and financial dashboards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5–8 years of relevant finance experience, including senior finance, treasury, or financial planning roles.
- ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred.
- Strong competence in budgeting, cash-flow management, financial reporting, and financial modelling.
- Good understanding of IFRS, taxation, and applicable financial regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or corporate finance transactions is desirable.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services is an advantage.
