About the role
Alaro City Development FZC is developing an integrated, mixed-use city in the Lekki Free Zone. We are looking for a strategic leader to establish and execute the business model for city-scale utilities. This senior management role involves directing strategy for water, power, gas, telecom, and ICT services while working closely with the Construction & Delivery team and other Rendeavour group management.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with departments, regulatory agencies, and customers.
- Prepare high-quality periodic reports on the status of utilities at Alaro City.
- Provide leadership to integrate project deliverables and support procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory reports and deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate key engineering activities affecting city utilities.
- Monitor internal quality standards for maintenance services.
- Implement and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for utilities businesses.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in engineering setups or utility infrastructure, including electricity generation and water treatment.
- Experience with the commercial aspects of utility sales, gas utilities, and sewage treatment.
- Leadership experience in an engineering or construction firm.
- Effective development or project management skills.
- Experience in construction, operation, and maintenance of utilities infrastructure.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and government agencies.
- Excellent business analysis, budgeting, and reporting skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours.
