About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform that serves over 600,000 businesses. We are looking for a Head, IT Audit to provide strategic leadership for our technology audit function. This executive role reports to the Chief Audit Officer and is based in Lagos, though the company supports a fully remote work culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an annual, risk-based IT audit plan aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Direct complex audits covering network security, cloud architecture (Google/AWS), identity and access management, and data privacy.
- Evaluate compliance with industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and SOC 2.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT auditors and technical specialists.
- Present audit findings and remediation plans to the Chief Audit Officer and Senior Executive Management.
- Embed automated audit techniques, data analytics, and continuous controls monitoring into the audit lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT auditing, technology risk management, or cybersecurity, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is required. Additional credentials like CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or CIA are highly desirable.
- Deep technical understanding of cloud environments (Google & AWS), network infrastructure, and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
- Exceptional stakeholder management, strategic problem-solving, and advanced data analytics skills.
