About the role
Services Afri 9in Limited is looking for a hands-on leader to oversee food production and kitchen operations. You will manage the integrated food-production system for KEV’S Eatery, Lounge Restaurant, and Grill Kitchen in Benin City. This full-time position reports to the Operations Manager and Chief Operating Officer. The role requires a balance of culinary skill, operational discipline, and commercial judgment to ensure consistent quality and cost control.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations, production planning, and staff deployment across all assigned kitchens.
- Standardize menus, recipes, portions, and yields to maintain consistent food quality.
- Control food costs, ingredient usage, waste, and stock levels.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all work areas.
- Train, coach, and assess chefs, cooks, and kitchen support staff.
- Produce accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production, costs, and performance.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and Store teams on purchasing and inventory.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of practical experience in kitchen, restaurant, or food production settings.
- At least two years of experience leading teams or coordinating multiple kitchen units.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food costing, stock control, and hygiene standards.
- Proven ability to improve food quality, service speed, and cost control.
- High integrity, leadership maturity, and strong reporting discipline.
- Competence with Microsoft Excel, POS/ERP systems, and management reporting.
