About the role
Domeo Resources International (DRI) is an HR and Management Consultancy organization focused on excellence and innovation. We are looking for a Head Accountant to provide effective financial and accounting leadership across the Group and its subsidiaries. This role offers central oversight of accounting operations within the Group’s Hospitality and Real Estate businesses, ensuring proper books of accounts, financial controls, and statutory reporting. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller, CFO, and other departments to ensure sound financial management and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide group accounting oversight, including reviewing ledgers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate the preparation of consolidated financial reports, budgets, and management accounts.
- Oversee hospitality business accounting, including revenue reconciliation and cost control for hotels and restaurants.
- Manage real estate accounting, covering rental income, property sales, and development costs.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliation and proper documentation.
- Coordinate cash management, bank reconciliations, and intercompany accounting across subsidiaries.
- Ensure tax and statutory compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, and PAYE records.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and audit management processes.
- Supervise and develop finance teams across multiple locations and subsidiaries.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- ACA (ICAN) is strongly preferred; ACCA may be considered.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Minimum of 4-5 years in a senior accounting or financial management position.
- Experience supervising finance teams across multiple locations or subsidiaries.
- Experience in hospitality and/or real estate accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
