About the role
Talabat, a key part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a rigorous and detail-oriented Senior Specialist to manage payment acceptance performance. This position sits at the intersection of payment performance, commercial analysis, and operational accountability. You will work independently to challenge assumptions, validate data from external partners, and translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own payment performance analytics end-to-end, including diagnosing root causes behind acceptance rate shifts and acquirer anomalies.
- Independently validate claims from payment providers and product teams through rigorous data analysis.
- Lead deep-dive investigations into operational gaps and structure findings for senior director audiences.
- Drive end-to-end project execution, from feasibility evaluation to supporting rollout with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and manage internal and external opportunities aligned with the fintech strategy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Strategy or Operations roles within tech, e-commerce, or fintech organizations.
- Prior exposure to fintech is mandatory.
- Deep working knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including acquirer processing, issuer decline logic, 3DS authentication, and settlement mechanics.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel/Sheets, or BI platforms to build independent analyses.
- Strong solution orientation with high ownership, accountability, and urgency.
- Ability to lead through influence and drive cross-functional outcomes without direct authority.
- Intellectually rigorous mindset with the instinct to question assumptions and validate conclusions through data.
