About the role
Delivery Hero, the parent company of Talabat, is seeking a Senior Specialist in Demand Planning to support the growth of Talabat Mart. This is the region’s first cloud store concept, offering 30-minute grocery delivery at hypermarket prices. The service is currently operating in Kuwait and the UAE and is expanding rapidly to new markets.
Responsibilities
- Ensure correct inventory levels in stores to prevent out-of-stock or overstock situations by analyzing current status and updating ordering parameters.
- Monitor daily stock movements and generate reports on inventory adjustments.
- Maintain and accurately input replenishment model parameters, including lead times, reorder points, and economic order quantities.
- Prepare demand forecasts, initiate store orders, and track their receipt.
- Coordinate inventory management with Category Managers.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis and reporting on inventory and purchase forecasts.
- Dispatch orders to suppliers and ensure proper tracking.
- Liaise with suppliers to improve collaborative forecasting and replenishment planning.
- Maintain accurate records of in-stock and inventory positions.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning fundamentals and the ability to manage demand forecasting from start to finish.
- Essential experience in FMCG demand planning and replenishment.
- Essential experience in warehouse management or 3PL partner relations.
- Data-driven, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy.
- Structured approach to prioritization and problem-solving.
- Ability to interact with senior executives and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with a hands-on approach to tools.
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills to inspire teams and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
