About the role
Delivery Hero, the parent company of talabat, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team in Dubai. This full-time position focuses on ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for Greece, which is the primary market. You will also support payroll operations in Jordan, Iraq, and the UAE. The role involves managing the full payroll cycle, from auditing employee records to calculating pay and ensuring adherence to local labor, tax, and social security laws.
Responsibilities
- Audit and maintain employee master data, including tax numbers and bank details, to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure payroll compliance with Greek Labor Law, Income Tax (AADE), and Social Security (e-EFKA) regulations.
- Prepare statutory filings for Greece, such as monthly e-EFKA declarations and withholding tax payments.
- Coordinate with local HR teams and advisors in Greece, Jordan, Iraq, and the UAE to meet deadlines.
- Process payroll for multiple countries, including the Greek 14-salary cycle and UAE Wage Protection System requirements.
- Manage leave administration, end-of-service settlements, and final payments for departing employees.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and post monthly payroll entries in the system.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and support internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, including hands-on work with Greek payroll.
- Native-level proficiency in Greek and fluent English (written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of Greek labor law, income tax, and social security regulations.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes in MENA countries like Jordan, Iraq, and the UAE.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Workday is preferred.
- Eligible to work in the UAE.
