About the role
talabat, part of Delivery Hero, is the leading on-demand food and Q-commerce app in the region. We are expanding our Dubai Global Tech Hub to launch a new domain focused on bringing intelligence to our DMart network. This network includes over 860 dark stores and 31 distribution centres across eight MENA markets. Your work will involve predicting demand, optimizing stock movement, and identifying potential issues before they arise.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and release of software solutions for end-to-end business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, product, and data to drive desired outcomes.
- Understand the scalability and complexity of services while managing the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Support the optimization of team practices to foster a self-organized and continuously improving unit.
- Critically evaluate and simplify technical organizational systems and processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming).
- Proficiency in .NET, Golang, and C#.
- Experience with distributed systems architecture, including Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery.
- Strong communication skills and a growth mindset with a focus on continuous feedback.
