About the role
talabat is a leading on-demand food and Q-commerce app operating across eight countries in the region. Based in Dubai, you will join a new domain within the Global Tech Hub. Your team focuses on bringing intelligence to the DMart network, which includes over 860 dark stores and 31 distribution centres. You will work on predicting demand, optimizing stock movement, and identifying potential issues before they impact operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, product, and data teams to understand customer and business needs.
- Design, write, and release software solutions for end-to-end business problems.
- Deliver value in small batches while adhering to engineering standards.
- Analyze the scalability and complexity of your services.
- Help optimize team practices to foster a self-organized and continuously improving unit.
- Seek mentorship to develop into a product engineer capable of solving business problems independently.
Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A humble, curious, and open-minded attitude with a growth mindset.
- Knowledge of foundational software engineering with some development experience.
- Experience with .NET, Golang, or C# programming languages.
- Exposure to testing with a focus on automated end-to-end quality.
- Understanding of Distributed Systems Architecture, including Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services.
- Basic knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
