About the role
GitLab is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers in the UAE. In this remote position, you will help organizations understand how GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets their technical and business goals across the software development lifecycle. You will guide clients through digital transformation journeys, from planning to monitoring, while partnering with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to drive platform adoption and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to demonstrate how GitLab meets customer needs.
- Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, proofs of value, and workshop design.
- Collaborate with sales teams to shape account strategies for new customer acquisition and expansion.
- Build relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders to guide them through GitLab-driven transformation.
- Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices.
- Act as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, and other internal teams.
- Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles guiding solution design and evaluation.
- Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps and CI/CD workflows.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control and collaboration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts, deployment, security, and operations.
- Ability to lead technical evaluations, contribute to tenders, and design workshops.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Experience within the MEA region.
- Arabic and English speaking is required.
- Ability to travel at least 25%.
