You will join a new domain team based in our Dubai Global Tech Hub. This team is responsible for bringing intelligence to the DMart network, which includes over 860 dark stores and 31 distribution centers. Your work will focus on predicting demand, optimizing stock movement, and identifying potential issues before they impact operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the systems that enable demand prediction and network optimization end-to-end.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, product, and data to drive desired business outcomes.
- Design, write, and release software solutions that address end-to-end business problems.
- Deliver value in small batches while adhering to high engineering standards.
- Understand the scalability and complexity of your services and innovate across the entire software development lifecycle.
- Mentor other engineers and help optimize team practices to foster a self-organized, continuously improving unit.
- Critically evaluate and simplify technical organizational systems and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, and Continuous Refactoring).
- Strong proficiency in .NET, Golang, and C#.
- Experience with Distributed Systems Architecture, including Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services.
- Proficiency in testing with a focus on automated end-to-end quality.
- Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience building, maintaining, and improving systems using Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an empathetic approach to building relationships.
- A growth mindset, humility, and openness to continuous feedback.
