About the role
Accor is seeking a Senior Bartender to join a hotel in Dubai. As part of a global network with over 5,500 hotels, you will play a key role in delivering responsible hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic and signature cocktails, following hotel standards.
- Provide personalized beverage recommendations to enhance the guest dining experience.
- Supervise and support junior bartenders and bar attendants to ensure smooth daily operations and teamwork.
- Maintain high standards of bar cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in line with food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct inventories, and control wastage to manage costs effectively.
- Assist in creating innovative cocktail menus and seasonal promotions to drive revenue.
- Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and posting of guest charges.
- Train and coach junior staff on mixology, product knowledge, and service standards.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally to maintain a positive experience.
- Coordinate with Food & Beverage and culinary teams for efficient service during peak periods.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and local laws.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of bartending experience, preferably in luxury hotels or upscale venues.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverage preparation techniques.
- Excellent mixology skills and creativity in developing new drinks.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for guest service.
- Ability to supervise, train, and motivate junior team members.
- Understanding of inventory management, cost control, and upselling.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Professional appearance and ability to work in a multicultural team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
