About the role
La Cigale Hotel, managed by Accor, is a prestigious five-star property located in the center of Doha. The hotel features 225 rooms, nine dining outlets, and extensive leisure facilities. Responsibilities
- Manage all purchasing activities in line with hotel policies and Accor procurement guidelines.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms with vendors.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions, orders, and related documentation.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Ensure purchases comply with approved budgets and financial controls.
- Coordinate with department heads, Receiving, Stores, Cost Control, and Accounts Payable teams.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Supervise and develop the Purchasing team to maintain high performance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial purchasing role is preferred.
- Experience with an international hotel brand is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with hotel procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
