About the role
Coinbase is seeking an Operations Manager to support its regulated operations in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This remote-first position involves working closely with the Senior Executive Officer to drive operational excellence across core trading businesses. The role sits at the intersection of operational strategy, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional execution. Note that Coinbase expects quarterly in-person working sessions called “surges.”
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Executive Officer in overseeing operational functions, including intragroup and third-party service providers, ensuring alignment with local regulations.
- Implement operational policies, procedures, SLA frameworks, and risk management processes across key business workstreams.
- Establish supervision frameworks for trading, staking, and custody operations in line with regulatory requirements.
- Build operational resilience frameworks, including risk identification, contingency planning, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Coordinate responses to operational incidents and facilitate communication with stakeholders, regulators, and service providers.
- Develop relationships with banks, regulators, and internal stakeholders to communicate operational and risk strategies.
- Project manage critical operations and risk-related initiatives across Legal, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product, and Customer Service.
- Support first-line-of-defense operations, including launch assessments, approvals, staffing, and audit activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Middle East financial services, management or strategy consulting, or operations strategy.
- Experience in a regulated investment dealer environment, with a focus on trade supervision across crypto, equities, or derivatives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new processes and improve existing workflows for operational efficiency.
- Strong collaboration skills across business functions, with emphasis on senior management engagement.
- Ability to produce high-quality content for external audiences with minimal review.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the crypto/Web3 landscape, including digital asset markets and tokenization.
- Responsibility in utilizing AI while maintaining human oversight to drive workflow efficiency, cost, and quality improvements.
Pay and benefits
The annual base salary range is AED 610,000 to AED 610,000. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage.
