SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences is a luxury lifestyle 5-star property located in Downtown Dubai. It is part of the Ennismore brand under the wider Accor group. The hotel features 946 units across 75 floors, making it one of the tallest hotels and residences in the region. This role supports the culinary team in maintaining high standards and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in setting and maintaining culinary standards.
- Help ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen by optimizing materials and manpower.
- Coordinate and execute training for kitchen colleagues and motivate the team.
- Cook food daily according to business requirements and assist in supervising kitchen staff.
- Attend daily meetings with the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef regarding menus and operational updates.
- Assist in planning menus, testing recipes, and writing accurate product specifications.
- Inspect fresh food deliveries daily and check food storage areas twice daily to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food preparation, costs, quality, and portion control on a daily basis.
- Run the hot plate during service periods and ensure food presentation meets established standards.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position.
- Basic Food and Hygiene training certification.
- Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and managerial skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a multicultural environment.
- Cost awareness and knowledge of product specifications.
- Basic computer skills and a creative approach to food quality and presentation.
