About the role
Accor is hiring a Hostess for Sofitel Dubai Downtown. This luxury 5-star hotel is located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, close to The Dubai Mall. You will be part of a team that blends French elegance with contemporary sophistication, providing a refined guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage reservations: Take and confirm bookings, handle cancellations, and update management on changes.
- Guest interaction: Greet guests at the entrance, seat them fairly according to the floor plan, and answer inquiries about hotel services.
- Administrative tasks: Answer the phone within three rings using proper etiquette and maintain the reservation book.
- Housekeeping: Ensure the hostess stand, menus, and check folders are clean and organized.
- Knowledge: Stay updated on dining room layout, table setups, VIP arrivals, and daily house counts.
- Service quality: Monitor guest reactions, handle complaints, and ensure satisfaction by conferring with management.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a service or hostess position.
- Strong interpersonal skills with guests and colleagues.
- A focus on guest experience.
- Good knowledge of beverages and wine.
- Fluent English.
