About the role
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr is a five-star beach resort located on Abu Dhabi Creek, offering stunning views of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The hotel features 366 rooms, a private beach, and various dining venues. As a Captain Waiter in the All Day Dining restaurant, you will supervise a designated station and ensure high standards of luxury service.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and handle inquiries or complaints professionally.
- Supervision: Oversee a specific service section, coordinate staff activities, and monitor table turnover for efficiency.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain detailed knowledge of menus, specials, and beverages to provide tailored recommendations and upsell opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Guide waiters and hostesses, train new colleagues, and provide constructive feedback to maintain service excellence.
- Operations: Ensure proper table setup, accurate billing, and compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Communication: Facilitate smooth communication between guests, kitchen, and management, and prepare shift reports.
Requirements
- Language: Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Experience: Prior experience in an upscale hotel dining environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership, supervisory, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills, professional grooming, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
