About the role
Accor is looking for a dedicated Bellman to join the team at Swissôtel Al Murooj in Downtown Dubai. This full-time position focuses on delivering sincere and enthusiastic service to guests in the hotel lobby. You will work closely with the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage teams to ensure guest satisfaction and handle special requests.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, escort them to their rooms, and explain hotel facilities such as lighting, TV, and safety features.
- Luggage Handling: Manage the safe and efficient handling of guest luggage during arrival, stay, and departure, ensuring all bags are tagged.
- Lobby Support: Maintain a clean and hygienic Concierge Desk area, handle telephone calls, and assist with lobby paging services.
- Logistics: Arrange transportation requests, including limousines, shuttles, and car rentals, and deliver messages, newspapers, and parcels to guests.
- Information: Stay updated on local activities, hotel events, and VIP arrivals to provide accurate recommendations and support.
- Administration: File daily reports, maintain accurate records, and communicate shift handover details to the next team.
Requirements
- Education: College graduate or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a bellhop, guest services, or equivalent hospitality role.
- Skills: Proficient computer literacy with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office; fluent English communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Other: Professional grooming standards and valid identification to work in the hospitality sector.
